Paid pop-up shifts, near you
Art Masterclass sets up a handmade mosaic lamp stall in a new Australian town most weekends. Every stall needs two people on the ground, and every shift shows what it pays before you say yes.

How it works
No group chats, no waiting to hear back about a roster you never saw. The board is the whole thing.
See what is on near you
Open the board and every pop-up within reach is there: the town, the dates, the seat and what it pays.
Put your hand up
One tap. Add a note if there is something we should know, like which weekend suits you.
We confirm, usually same day
Once we confirm you, the shift moves onto your roster and you get a text with the address and the start time.
You see what it pays before you say yes.
Not an hourly rate you have to work out afterwards. One figure for the whole pop-up, printed on the card, made of three things you can check yourself.
How the money is worked out
Three parts, the same for everyone, no negotiating and no surprises.
Per session
A session is 4 hours on the stall. A busy weekend runs several a day, and you are paid for every one.
Per 100 km travelled
Paid on the round trip from the depot, and paid to both seats. The van and its fuel are our cost, never yours.
Per night away
If the town is too far to drive home from, the nights are covered. Close enough and you sleep in your own bed.
The two seats
Every pop-up runs on a pair. You pick the seat that suits you, and you are never on a stall by yourself.
You take the van
You pick the van up from the depot, drive to the town, and bring it back. The van and every drop of fuel are on us. Travel is paid on top of the day, both ways.
You run the table
You set the stall up, talk to people about the lamps, and pack it down at the end. No experience needed, and you are never on a stall alone.
What a shift is
A trestle table, a marquee and a few hundred handmade lamps, in a showground or a shopping centre for one weekend. You open it, run it and pack it down. There is always someone with you, so no experience is needed. Most days start around 8am and finish by 5pm.
The address, the exact session times and the drive from the depot are all on the card before you commit, and on your roster afterwards.

Questions people ask
Do I need my own car?
No. One of the two seats drives our van and the other rides along, so neither of you needs a car of your own. Fuel is never your cost.
What if the town is a long way away?
Then we pay for you to stay. Anything under a ninety minute drive you go home each night. Past that we book and pay for the accommodation, and past three hours we cover every night of the pop-up.
Do I need an ABN?
It helps and we will ask, but it is not what decides whether you get a shift. Tell us either way when you join.
What if something comes up?
Tell us as early as you can and we will find someone else. You can pull out of a shift from your roster yourself right up until we confirm you.
How do I get paid?
The full amount is on the card before you say yes, and it does not change afterwards. Nothing is worked out on the day.
How often do pop-ups come up?
Most weekends through the season. New towns go on the board as they are booked, and we text the crew when a batch opens.
